I had the honor to give a keynote at the EuRuKo conference in September 2024. Unfortunately, I only could talk in recording, but it was a pretty big event for me nevertheless. I’ve heard the talk had some success with the conference attendees.

The topic is pretty important to me, so I decided to share a slightly edited transcript for those who prefer the text form. Unfortunately, it is hard to publish in Substack email format, but you can read it on my site, all the text and slides together in what I hope to be a compelling narrative to share some views.
I tried to maintain a balance between humane and technical, but it is probably more sentimental towards the end. But, as the talk itself says,
This is the most important thing I learned. Probably not much for a career this long, but that’s where I stand personally and professionally.
